Abdul is not the only convert from Islam who has been brought face to face with the wrath of the clerics and the judiciary. There have been many who have been killed over the years. Pakistan does not have a good record in this regard. Other countries in the Middle East also do not have a good record. There are many martyrs who have refused to recant, and within very recent years.
